We’d earlier revealed that
Arvind Swami will be playing a police officer — Anbazhagan — in Selvaa’s Vanangamudi. And now, we present to you a glimpse of the actor’s cop look in the film. The team has just returned from Thoothukudi, where they shot a dance number and a few chase sequences.
“The film traces the life of a police officer right through his career. We shot one such portion in Thoothukudi.
Arvind sports several looks for his role, and to look the part, he has been training hard and eating the right kind of food. We are happy with the way he’s looking on screen,” Selvaa beams.
Interestingly, the director reveals that the hero in his film doesn’t use physical strength to fight goons. “We shot a sequence depicting the atrocities of rowdies and cops. Usually, such a scenario is followed by the hero bashing up the villains. But Arvind’s character doesn’t even lay a finger on them. Instead, he defeats them by playing mind games. Even though the film is an action drama and we have some nuanced action sequences, the hero believes in mind power,” he says. The team will now head to Kodaikanal next month for the next schedule.
